clara It seems to me 1957 is a too early date to be at the London Palladium since Paul had just released his first hit "Diana" and I couldn't read anything of this in his book.

clara Thank you very much. I must confess I was mistaken and ignored that Paul had so early visited the UK. Sure, John Barry only left England in 1970 and I remember this picture that I think you posted on Multiply on occasion of Barry's death. Do you remember

clara Do you remember Adrian that on that occasion Paul's assistant Julie mentioned that "Paul Anka The Best Group" had posted the picture? Oh, those were the days! You are very well documented, thank you again.

Yvonne do you ?

Iris Just relaxed. Wonderful.

clara Thank you Adrian for this album, most of the photos not previously seen by me. This means in my opinion and according to his biography that 1956 and 57 Paul was not at the London Palladium, he was just starting his career.

Adrianb810 Not true, I will add an other photo from his 1957 tour in UK and more details

clara I would rather ask: who doesn't know Rachmaninov? His piano concert n. 2 is one of my favourite. I have my doubts that Paul ever was at the London Palladium in 1956. However I have never heard of painter Heinz Hoffman.

Maya No wonder Clara, there is no painter with this name as about Rachmaninov the piano concert no2is wonderful
21 days ago

Adrianb810 That's not entirely true, Paul was at Palladium first time in 1957, see my album
20 days ago

Adrianb810 About Paul's favorite painter: it is matter of spelling, there is no Heinz Hoffman but Hans Hofmann is a notable abstract expressionist. See my article about him in the Articles section

clara An other album that I have only seen first thanks to Sunny's comment. Please Yvonne post a first comment to enable the album to be found. Anyway, it's a pity to post such long texts without a translation or better a summary.

Maya Oh la la, who knows enough French to understand this?
