Tonight, the designers have to create a "post-apocalyptic" look by distressing their garments.  Funny, I thought they were doing that last week with all the wonky seaming and the misplaced darts!  But this week, they actually take scissors and blow torches and dyes to their fabrics to give them that zombie-chic look that I know you're all drooling over in Vogue and trying to emulate.  Oh wait, that's as simple as finding something torn, stained, and shoved under your bed 3 weeks ago, and putting it on........

Anyway, tune in tonight and watch the judges say that the looks are not grungy enough or (ha ha) sewed too well.  It's 9pm Eastern for the new episode.  They will be running last week's episode at 8pm, slightly edited so they can do that funky little 10-minute program again at 8:50.

In the past I have enjoyed PR but the last few seasons it has become way too crazy with their challenges. How about just some tasteful design elements and pay-attention-to-detail construction. Guess, that doesn't sell in the big marketplace. Lois

I know what you mean, Lois.  It's a game show.  I watch it mainly for Tim and Swatch.

That was fun! Made me want to go tear something up. Loved the color the fire made on Stanley's olive green gown. Sad at who had to go. Actually can't remember who won...there were so many I liked, and thought would. Loved Ari's(?) red gown...the way it fluttered on the runway with the holes in it. Merline's was so interesting (and waaay better constructed). Oh Amanda...stuck in the 70's ala avocado green appliances. Amazed at Ken's! he let loose! Loved Isaac's poodle. Looked great on his jacket.

There are still too many designers there to really give attention to them in the span of one hour.  I would love to have seen more of Candice's cobweb thingy - it looked amazing - and Joshua's clear plastic "whatever" - just out of curiosity's sake.  But those looks went down the runway faster than a Rose Parade float with the parade running late!  They don't give you enough time to really see what was used and how it was used.

I think Char's "Det Fire Dept" kid's dress-up look should have gone home, "pants trains" or no pants trains.  It was totally a costume.  But I can see why they chose to send Kelly packing.  I didn't get an "ice princess" vibe from that look at all.  It was more of a "Kelly from the deli" vibe.  At least she was gracious about going.

I have yet to see anything olive green get a good reception on this show (Stanley's Met Gala gown).  The judges love to say it's swampy or the model looks like a creature from the lagoon.  That gown was not bad, and I liked the use of the blackened area at the top as a design element.  Who said the top looked cheap?  Isaac?  Mr. Poodle??

I think Ari should have won.  I loved how his dress flowed and portrayed the theme perfectly.  It was less of a hot mess than Anthony's, and better thought out.  But as we know, just because something is logical and well done doesn't always get you ahead on this show!

DH watched the first few minutes and when Kelly was on, he said, "I like that girl."  I said don't get used to seeing her.....if they let anyone talk a lot at the beginning of an episode, that's a bad sign!  They also tried to fake us out by showing Anthony having moments of doubt, trying to lead you to believe he'd flop and fail.

Oh PR, how you do toy with us!

Boy, I don't even remember Joshua's or Candice's...the show was faster than a speeding bullet! Maybe I looked down or hiked up my socks or something. Char's was so disappointing. Didn't tape it, so I guess I'll have to wait. I think I'll see if I can find it on line...and at least discover who won! sheesh. And I watched it!

Well Nancy I cant remember week to week. I am going to lose this channel with many others in the next couple weeks. DH is tired of paying high dollar for TV so he’s canceling everything on U-verse and going to use an antennae. Of course he will have what he watches- sports, sports, sports, sports and more sports. And there will be no recording unless it’s youtube tv. You ladies will have to keep me updated. I’m really not thrilled with PR this season. I agree with Lois- why can’t we just have well designed clothes? Who wears this stuff? Not little old ladies like me! Some of these challenges are exhausting. I kept waiting to hear Tim say “ oh Kelli, you’re not going home. I’m using my Tim Gunn save!” But it never came:(

NICUNurse, if you are going to antenna you might want to also check out the options of Roku, Firestick, or Apple TV.  We dropped Dish this summer and I chose Apple TV for various reasons.  It does allow me to have the free apps of the networks and could purchase others so I can watch the different shows I want anytime instead of running my life around the TV schedule.  I do need to wait until the next day (some shows 24 hours later) to watch them, but it works for me to watch during the day while hubby is gone to work and I am in the sewing area.

Guess I better go see what they had last week---when I was basking in the sun in Floriday!!!

QW if you wore those clothes on a sunny beach in Florida, you'd have sun spots all over your body!
