Hello quilters,
It's a cold start to 2018. DD has kept the bird feeders full and it's a busy place today.
I finished quilting a baby quilt and coordinating doll quilt for my nephew's daughter. DD was happy to visit the sewing room and see me working in there Thursday night - like her high school days. She is home for a semester to co-op as an engineer, then will be back to school in the summer.
I hope I can get this ready for hand-stitching by the end of the weekend.
Who has been sewing this week? We love to hear what everyone is creating.
-Kim

WOW, actually a reversible quilts as the back is as petty as a whole cloth quilt. Great job on both.

Unfortunately no sewing to report, tho I did go into the sewing room and the 2017 calendar plus a few pieces of paper hit the recycling bin.

Have friends coming Monday afternoon to load boxes of cookbooks, that are too heavy for me to get down the steps and in the car, so I can donate them. Have been busy still going thru more of DH cookbooks looking for recipes I might want before the books are gone...  Chris

That's a lot of pretty stitching, SeeingStars!

I got nothing done last week but clean up from DS being here, and trying to survive 2018 Polar Vortex #1.    Had to have the furnace guy out.  He'll probably be back, because the fan (?) is still making a funny vibration noise.  Also waiting to see if, when temps go above freezing, the front yard hose pipe bursts, where it comes into the house.  DH says the faucet part outside is frozen, even though it was covered....

SeeingStars... GORGEOUS!
cksvett... that's quite a task looking through the books for favorite recipes.  Good you've got help to move hem.

Me .. feeling pretty good.. finished up 3 small quilts .. so now have six for my next meeting.  Got 3 older quilts down to the museum to join others for a show through March, started a 'leaders and enders' project and started the 'gifties' for COF retreat.  Sewing room is a mess, Just at a loss at what to do with all these scraps of fabric!

Seeing Stars, that is a beautiful quilt. The quilting is outstanding.
I've been doing some sewing with the church quilting group and this week, Quilted (not near as fancy as yours. LOL) a couple of childrens' quilts and I'm happy with how they turned out. The quilts will be donated to the police dept. so they can give them to children who need help when the parents are being arrested. I'm glad I can help out, but so very sad that it is necessary at all.
